Suspect In St. Louis Hotel Murder Kills Himself

PEORIA, Ill. (KMOX) — The man wanted for murdering a woman at a St. Louis hotel, has apparently killed himself in Peoria, Illinois.

Police say they tracked 34 year old Robert Fuller to a Peoria hotel. Officers surrounded the hotel, and after hearing gunshots they entered Fuller’s room where they found him dead of apparently self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Fuller was wanted for the murder of 29 year old Jenifer Goertzen of Morton, Illinois. Goertzen’s bound and gagged body was found yesterday morning in a bathtub of the Holiday Inn at Interstate 44 and Hampton.

Investigators say Fuller and Goertzen had been in a relationship.
