ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two people from Illinois are facing charges for allegedly injecting heroin and passing out in a car in St. Louis while their 4-year-old daughter was in the back seat.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the suspects are 32-year-old George Stevenson and 31-year-old Diane Van Deusen, both of Granite City.
They were charged Tuesday in St. Louis Circuit Court with drug possession and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Van Deusen was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child and driving under the influence of drugs.
Police say Van Deusen told them she injected heroin at a gas station and took four Xanax, then tried to drive away but passed out.
