ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- When the St. Louis Blues take the Scottrade Center ice Tuesday night against Detroit, they’ll be welcoming back two players from injured reserve.

The team announced earlier in the day that defenseman Carlo Colaiacovo and forward Evgeny Grachev will be activated.

Colaiacovo missed eight games with a hamstring injury, and Grachev was sidelined four games by an eye injury suffered in practice.

other notes:

Blues coach Ken Hitchcock says Brian Elliott will get the start in goal against the Red Wings.

Former Blues player Keith Tkachuk will fill-in for Kelly Chase as the color commentator on KMOX-AM and the Blues Radio Network for the Detroit game.

The puck is set to drop at 6:30pm (an earlier start time than most Blues night home games)
