3-Alarm Fire in South St. Louis County

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — Dozens of firefighters are on the scene of a three alarm fire that has destroyed a warehouse-type building in Lemay.

The fire broke out just after 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

Scott Sakaidis looked out from the flower shop across the street when he heard fire trucks pulling up to the scene at Telegraph and Kingston.

“I thought it was just going to be a small little fire and then a few minutes later the flames were shooting out of the roof,” explained Sakaidis.

Another witness said the roof appearance to be completely collapsed on the building.

Twelve fire trucks are currently working to extinguish the blaze.

There are no reports of any injuries.
