Dierbergs Pull Hard-Cooked Egg Product After Recall

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — Dierbergs Markets has pulled all hard-cooked egg products sold from its food bars in response to details of a voluntary recall forwarded Thursday evening by Hawkeye Foodservice of Coralville, Iowa.

Hawkeye is recalling two lots of hard-cooked egg products in brine due to concerns the product could be tainted with listeria monocytogenes.

There have been no complaints, reported illnesses or concerns identified with the product in the marketplace.

Only one Dierbergs store, the Southroads location on Tesson Ferry, reported it had received product with the specific lot codes. Regardless of lot code, Dierbergs removed all hard-cooked eggs distributed by Hawkeye from any food bars that carried the product.

Customers who purchased hard-cooked eggs from a food bar can return the product for a full refund.

is this recall linked to the michael’s food service recall?

This is a tragic event and I cnonat even imagine the trauma to Lara Logan. While she likely has no option but to sue CBS, the network had no choice regarding her covering the story. If CBS had denied her going to Egypt, they’d be subject to a discrimination complaint.Sadly, this is a lose-lose-lose.
