ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The Heat Up St. Louis charity is launching its 12th annual Super Heat-Up Collection Drive amongst area places of worship.
Board president Lance LeComb says it’s a “call to action” for the religious community, “One-hundred-percent of the donations go towards the cause, go towards helping the disabled, poor, and elderly with utility bills, so they don’t get shut off.”
LeComb was a guest on KMOX’s Total Information AM Saturday.
He says congregations can submit their collected donations through the Heat Up St. Louis website (click here) or to a special fund: Heat Up St. Louis Inc. c/o UMB Bank, PO Box 868, St. Louis MO 63188.
The Super Heat-Up lasts through March 5th.
This year’s collection drive is dedicated to the Rev. Earl Nance, Jr.—a longtime Heat Up St. Louis volunteer who’s recovering from heart surgery.
