Dupo Man Charged In Heroin Death

COLUMBIA, IL (KMOX)-The heroin overdose death of a Columbia, Illinois man, has led to federal charges being filed against the man who allegedly supplied him with the drug.
31 year-old Jacob Nelson of Dupo has been charged with Distribution of Heroin Resulting in Death, in the July death of 36-year-old Jeremy Moskodauz.
Moskodauz was found dead in Columbia the night of July 8th.
Nelson is also charged with Maintaining Drug-Involved Premises at his residence in Dupo
between July, 2010, and July, 2011 AND two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a User of Controlled Substances.
If convicted, Nelson could face life in prison on the distribution charge, up to 20 years for the drug involved premises charge and ten years each on the two firearm counts.
