TOPEKA, Kan. (CBS St. Louis) – The Westboro Baptist Church, a controversial religious group infamous for protesting military funerals and organizations sympathetic to homosexual rights, has just released a parody of Whitney Houston’s classic cover, “I Will Always Love You,” which implies that the singer is now in hell.

“If you had obeyed, you would not be in those flames,” begins the song called “God Will Always Hate You,” performed by a singer whose voice is not unlike that of the deceased musician. “Now you know that it’s so, God hated you, every step of the way.”

The church also plans to protest Houston’s funeral, scheduled to be held tomorrow in her hometown of Newark, N.J. Nearly 1,500 guests are expected to attend, including Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey, Dionne Warwick and Aretha Franklin.

According to a PDF document on its official website, the Westboro church is protesting Houston’s funeral because of her drug use and status as a gay icon.

“God gave Whitney Houston a beautiful singing voice and a world-wide platform, which she should have used to encourage obedience to His Word and warn the  wicked that their rebellion brings destruction from the hand of God,” the release states. “Instead, she used her talent to glorify herself, engage in sorceries [sic] … and cosy [sic] up to perverse (gays).”

Houston passed away on Feb. 11 of undetermined causes. She was found submerged in the bathtub in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room with several bottles of prescription pills reportedly located near her body.

In addition to “I Will Always Love You,” originally performed by country crooner Dolly Parton, Houston was also well-known for lending her booming voice to hits such as “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “The Greatest Love of All,” and a stirring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner performed at the 1991 Super Bowl.

YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT SOMEONE HAD THE NERVE TO SING A TASTELESS SONG LIKE THIS TO DISRESPECT SOMEONE WHO IS DECEASED?? AND HAVE THE NERVE TO THROW GOD IN IT? GOD IS LOVE NOT HATE!!! REMEMBER SHE HAS A DUGHTER, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND MILLIONS OF FANS WHO CARE ABOUT HER. IF YOU DIDN’T LIKE WHITNEY WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME TO TALK ABOUT HER OR DEGRADE HER. WE KNOW WHAT HER MISTAKES WERE BUT WE ARE NOBODY TO JUDGE HER BECAUSE WE WHO LOVE HER ARENT PERFECT EITHER.!! GOD IS THE ULTIMATE JUDGE. WE LOVE WHITNEY AND SHE CAN NEVER BE REPLACED!! GOD BLESS!!!

Please leave these twisted, attention-seeking family without the news coverage they’re so addicted to. They’re sad, sad, broken souls.

The name of the song is “GOD will always hate you”

Why don’t we contract all the criminals in Newark and the surrounding area to go after these sacrilegious nutballs? I don’t see any problem with it.

Do you remember Jesus talked about the sheep and the goats? Here some hard head goat, nay-nays right here. A church full of them. Jesus, remember Him, Uh the MASTER and LORD, said that sinners (the world) would know that YOU are my disciple…s by the LOVE (Agape Unconditional) that you have for one another. Whitney Houston accepted JESUS years ago and according to the Word of God, that is if you read it, JESUS sealed Whitney’s spirit eternally. Now, she’s been trying to work out her soul salvation and body, but that has nothing to do with her eternal destiny as long as she didn’t turn her back on Jesus in rejection. People go to hell for rejecting Jesus. Jesus already took care of the sin part. Nobody can fix the sin part because their was ONLY one LAMB, MESSIAH. The perfect sacrifice. That’s BIBLE. Better yet, That’s the Word of the Lord!!! Jesus took care of my sins, Whitney’s sins, your sins and that lying pastors sins that’s pastoring this particular church, PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE. If you attend this picketing church get out of it quick. It’s full of the glory of it’s father, satan and his tiny helpers. This church doesn’t believe the Word of THE MASTER, JESUS! Also, when you sin, they’re going to do you like Whitney, there sister in Christ and if they don’t they’re a bunch of hypocrit devils. Who can break anyone out of the Master’s Hand? No one but you. Whitney wouldn’t even though she sang secularly, SHE ALWAYS ACKNOWLEDGED JESUS and didn’t care who liked it or not.

These people are going to hell, not anyone they protest against, them. And they deserve it.

    addicted to hate…yes they are

You’ll reap what has been sown.
    God dislike sin, not people.
I will pray for their deliverance.

I would to see the media spend as much attention to Westboro’s mistakes as it does to their grandstanding. They did not picket the funeral but Photoshopped themselves into a photo of the outside of the church and sent it out on their Twitter accounts. Why don’t we hear about this?

Obama’s church pastor preached “Goddam America” and every
other evil, no different than Westboro Church.
