VALLEY PARK, Mo. (KMOX) — Valley Park’s Mayor calls it “rather embarassing” — the drunken driving arrest of alderman Aaron Levinson.
“But we have to keep in mind at the present that Aldermen Levinson has only been charged, it’s not a conviction,” said Mayor Nathan Grellner. “Everyone has a right to a fair trial.”
As KMOX News first reported, Levinson was arrested last Thursday. He was pulled over at 11:40 p.m. at Highland Village and Kilbrannan Drives, and then he tried to run on foot but was caught.
He reportedly failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for D.W.I. and resisting arrest.
Mayor Grellner says he and other city officials are waiting to see how incident resolves itself in court.
