ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Flu numbers across Missouri are up — but in St. Louis County they appear to have leveled off a bit.
Missouri Health officials say the state is seeing regional flu activity for the past week — with 854 new confirmed cases of influenza, up from 731 the week before. But that’s still down 62 percent from average levels at this time of year.
In St. Louis County, for the week ending February 19th, there were 156 new cases reported — almost the same as the 157 new ones reported the previous week.
Health officials, however, say it’s still too soon to say if we have indeed peaked in flu cases for the season — that will take a couple more weeks of continued decline.
