ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – A gunshot today near a post traumatic stress treatment center at the Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital.
But it was just an accident, police say, and no one got hurt.
It happened around 2 o’clock this afternoon.
The bullet was shot from a gun dropped by an outpatient. The veteran had a concealed carry permit – however, no guns are allowed at the hospital complex. No word yet if charges will be filed.
The Mehlville scholl district put Beasley Elementary and the John Cary Early Childhood Education Center on lockdown as a precaution while police investigated.
