Cahokia, IL (KMOX) – No one was injured when a private plane made an emergency landing Sunday morning at St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia.
Airport Director Bob McDaniel says four people were on board the plane that was heading into the airport around 10:15 a.m. The pilot was trying to land when he noticed a problem and pulled up. He then flew a second pattern before coming in. The landing gear collapsed on landing.
McDaniel says damage to the plane was minor.
The St. Louis Flight Standards District office will begin an investigation Monday into the cause of the landing gear malfunction.
