ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- Two St. Louis Police officers face charges for allegedly punching teen-aged prisoners while they were handcuffed and in the back of police cars.

Officers Rory Bruce and David Wilson are each charged with third degree assault.

Prosecutors say Bruce punched a 16-year-old in the face, after arresting him on felony delinquency charges.

In a separate incident, investigators say Wilson punched a 16-year-old in the head after he was arrested on felony delinquency charges.

Both incidents were caught on the police vehicles’ audio and video recorders.

Wilson, a three-year force veteran, is on administrative duty awaiting internal discipline.

A Police Department Spokeswoman says Bruce, who was a probationary officer, was fired March 28. Another probationary officer, Jacob Fowler was also fired on March 28 in connection with the incident involving Bruce.
