ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – Investigators say a detective sergeant shot and wounded a man, who was dropping off two other wounded men at St. Louis University Hospital after a previous shooting
Captain Michael Sack says the three suspects had gotten into an argument with some pedestrians at Stoddard and Glasgow at about 2pm. Sack says one of the suspects got out of the car and exchanged shots with one of the pedestrians. They then drove to the hospital.
He says as the two wounded men were getting out of the car, a detective working another case saw that the third man had a gun. He ordered him to put it down. When he refused, Sack says, the detective shot him.
The suspect then fled, eventually running his car into a light pole on Kingshighway at Laclede. The suspect ran but was caught. Sack says a weapon was recovered from the vehicle.
All three wounded suspects are in stable condition. The officer was not hurt.
