“Wizard of Oz” Comes Back to the Big Screen
As part of their popular Classic Film Series that begun in 2011, The Hi Pointe Theater is having a special showing of the much-loved Judy Garland film, “The Wizard of Oz” this Saturday, April 14, at 10:30am.
Based on the book by L. Frank Baum, the movie from 1939 was nominated for six Oscars and won two in the categories of best score and best original song. It lost in the best picture category that year to “Gone With the Wind.”
