No Injuries in Train Derailment at De Soto
DE SOTO, Mo. (AP) — Union Pacific officials are trying to determine the cause of a train derailment in the eastern Missouri town of De Soto.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that two train cars went off the tracks Tuesday morning near Main Street. No injuries were reported.
Union Pacific spokesman Mark Davis says the 58-car freight train was transporting rock from Iron Mountain, Mo., to St. Louis.
