Ex-Ram Jacob Bell Retires

CINCINNATI, Ohio (KMOX) – Jacob Bell has lost the desire to play professional football.

NFL.com reports the Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman is telling people he’s leaving the game over fears of long-term health issues, in the wake of reports of the effects concussions and other injuries have on NFL players.

The 31-year-old Miami-Ohio alumnus signed with the Bengals last month after playing four seasons each with Tennessee and St. Louis.

Bell started in 100 of his 109 career NFL games.
