Girl Injured by Hail as Storms Roll Through

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - An eleven year old girl suffered head and arm injuries when ping-pong to baseball size hail hit her at Big Bend and Ries Road Monday afternoon. The girl refused medical attention and police would not confirm the report even though an authorized weather spotter reported the injury.
As the storms rolled through damage was immediately reported in St. charles County.
One inch hail was reported in St Peters , O’fallon and St Charles. One-and-a-half inch hail was reported in Weldon Spring at Highway 44 and Ofallon Road. Dime size hail was reported in the city of St. Charles. One inch hail and power lines down were reported North of Cottleville. One inch hail was also reported North of Mid Rivers Mall and at I-70 and T.R. Hughes Road.
Inch and a quarter size hail was reported two miles East of House Springs.
As the storm moved into Chesterfield and West St. Louis County trees and power lines started coming down. Ping Pong ball size hail was reported at Big Bend and New Ballwin. Multiple trees were reported down north of Ballwin and one-inch hail was reported at Big Bend and Rt. 141. Golf ball size hail was reported at Hwy. 40 and Boones Crossing. Half-inch hail was reported at Clarkson and Kehrs Mill Road.
Ellisville also reported one inch hail at Clarkson and Manchester.
There was also ping pong ball size hail with 60 mph winds at Antonia. Roof and window damage was reported near Antonia. Inch-and-a half hail was reported at West Ridge Road and Rock Creek in Jefferson County.
