KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (KMOX) - The award-winning coach of the Washington University (St. Louis) women’s basketball team is now a Hall of Famer.
Nancy Fahey was inducted Saturday night into the Women’s Basketball Hall in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Fahey is the only coach in NCAA Division III history to win five national championships, including a stretch of four-straight crowns from 1998-01.
She led Washington University to the second-longest winning streak in NCAA women’s basketball history at 81 games.
Fahey ranks third among all active NCAA coaches with an .849 career winning percentage.
She was named the 2000 WBCA Division III Coach of the Year.
