Pair Charged in O’Fallon, Mo. Stabbing

O’FALLON, Mo. (KMOX) — A 54 year-old man is recovering after receiving very serious stab wounds to the head, neck, and chest Friday afternoon in an attempted robbery.

This morning, the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s office charged Avery Cornuelle, 18, of O’Fallon, Mo. and Peyton McAnelly, 20, of O’Fallon, Mo. with first-degree assault and armed criminal action.

Police were called to the 800 block of Blackberry lane Friday in reference to an assault. When police arrived they discovered the bleeding man and rushed him to the hospital. The victim identified Cornuelle and McAnelly as his attackers.

O’Fallon Police are currently investigating the case as an attempted robbery.

Bonds have been set at $200,000.
