ST. LOUIS (KMOX) — A new survey finds St. Louis is one of the least expensive cities in the USA to live in.  This annual survey comes from the human resource consulting firm Mercer.

It finds Tokyo is the world’s most expensive city, New York the most expensive in the United States. St. Louis comes in at number 173 of the 214 cities on the worldwide list — just behind Guatemala City at 172 and just ahead of Pittsburgh at 174.

Nationally, only four major cities are ranked lower than St. Louis for affordability — Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Portland, Oregon and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
