CLAYTON, MO (KMOX)-It’s now a lot easier for St. Louis County residents to get rid of their old or no longer needed prescription medicine.
Missouri American Water is teaming up with the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, MSD and County Police to form a non-profit organization called P2D2, which stands for prescription pills and drug disposal.
P2D2 is installing collection boxes in four county police stations, which Missouri American Spokeswoman Ann Dettmer says will allow residents to dump their unwanted drugs anonymously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, “Our goal is to keep unneeded medicines both off the street, away from children and folks who might abuse them, and also out of our rivers.”
The drop off points are at the following St. Louis County Police stations:
North County Precinct, 11815 Benham Road,
Affton Southwest Precinct, 9928 Gravois Road,
South County Precinct, 3031 Telegraph Road,
West County Precinct, 232 Vance Road.
