Plane Crash Causes Minor Injuries

PAINTON, Mo. (AP)– The pilot of ultra-light plane is hospitalized with minor injuries after the plane went down in a southeast Missouri cornfield.

KFVS-TV  reports that the plane crash happened Thursday night in Stoddard County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the unnamed pilot was flying a small experimental plane when it went down near the town of Painton.

Troopers believe it may have clipped the tops of corn stalks, causing it to crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified.
