ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting late Wednesday night at 17-year-old Demetrius Cortez Jackson.

Witnesses told officers that they heard shots in the area of North 20th St. and Cass Ave. just after 10 p.m.

When they arrived on the scene, they found Jackson lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect was seen running away and even fired some shots at the first witnesses to arrive at the scene, with no further injuries reported.

Police are looking for a black male in his teens, 5’5″ to 5’6″, 130 lbs., wearing white basketball shorts and a white T-shirt.
