ST. CHARLES (KMOX) – A St. Charles man who was the reported subject of a police manhunt earlier this week now faces charges of child molestation.

61-year-old Luis Garcia-Maran is accused of molesting a child this past Monday.

Police had been searching for Garcia-Maran.  He is now in custody in Jasper County, Illinois, awaiting extradition to Missouri.

Bond is set at $200,000.

Authorities say no other victims have been identified, but anyone with additional information is asked to call St. Charles police.
