EAST ALTON, IL (KMOX) - An East Alton couple is charged in a home burglary, just a few doors from where they live.

27 year old Christopher Spears and his live-in girlfriend 24 year old Kay Robinson are both charged: Spears with Residential Burglary and Robinson with Theft over $500.

Madison County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robinson shortly after the burglary on Rhondell Place in East Alton and about four hours later Spears turned himself in.

A  television set, jewelry and electronics were recovered from their home.

Spears is jailed on $100,000 bond and Robinson on $40,000 bond.
