ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- A U.S. Senator from Illinois tells “CBS Face the Nation” that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney should be made to pay for his criticism of the Obama health care law.

“Let’s get down to the bottom line here, Mitt Romney is the Obamacare daddy,” Senator Dick Durbin says. “He gave birth to this baby in Massachusetts, and now he doesn’t recognize it.”

Durbin says he feels voters will be able to make a clear distinction between Obama and Romney in November’s election.

“Mitt Romney has no economic plan,” Durbin says. “He wants to return us to those thrilling days of the Bush’s yesteryear that brought us into this recession.”

Durbin says the president has created millions of private sector jobs since taking office, while Romney is simply a throwback to the failed economic policies of George W. Bush.
