BALLWIN, Mo. (KMOX) - Missouri Republican Congressional candidate Ann Wagner says her father has died.

Earl Trousdale was 76.

Wagner says her father taught her the lessons of business (at Carpetime), the joy of putting family and faith first, and that it is the duty of the strong to care for the weak.

Schrader Funeral Home in Ballwin is handling the arrangements.

Wagner is running for the 2nd Congressional District seat now occupied by Todd Akin.

She faces opposition in the August GOP primary.
