MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KMOX)-A Maryland Heights man and his wife are expected to recover after being wounded in an accidental shooting.

Police tell us the man was cleaning his weapon in a home in the 100 block of Edgeworth when it discharged. The bullet hit him and his wife before going through a couch and into a wall.

A couple of children in the home were not hurt.
