ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – Hollywood’s “Golden Boy” will be the next to have a star on the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

Officials say the late O’Fallon, Ill. native William Holden will be inducted on August 9th.

Holden won a “Best Actor” Academy Award for the movie “Stalag 17” and a Emmy for the television film, “The Blue Night.”

He died in 1981 at the age of 63.

Located on the Delmar Loop, the St. Louis Walk of Fame has more than 130 sets of stars and plaques.
