KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City health officials say they have confirmed a fourth heat-related death from this summer.
The Kansas City Health Department said Monday a man born in 1951 died of heat-related causes. The department says that another six deaths in the area are being investigated as possibly heat-related.
As of Aug. 1, State health officials say there have been 28 confirmed heat deaths in Missouri this year.
