WATERLOO, IL (KMOX)-Monroe County authorities are looking for a man who it’s believed has approached young children three times in the last month.
According to “The Independent” the first incident took place on July 13 while a woman was walking with her young son and daughter. The woman says the man slowed his white pickup and stared at her five-year old daughter as she walked ahead of the other two. The mother says the truck sped away when she started catching up with the girl.
On July 25 a seven-year-old girl reported that the man pulled his truck into a driveway and started asking questions about where she lived. When he got out of his truck to ask another question the girl ran to a neighbor’s house.
Then on August 9, a boy says he was followed for several blocks by a white truck.
The man is described as about 40-years-old. He’s scruffy looking with a mustache. In one case a toolbox was see in the back of the truck. In another the truck was described as a Chevrolet Silverado.
In the last case, he had a large dog riding in the passenger seat. If you see him, call the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department at 618-939-8651.
