ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – MoDOT crews will close all lanes and ramps on westbound I-64 downtown between the I-44/I-55 ramp on the Poplar Street Bridge and 21st Street on the double deck structure this weekend, starting at 10 a.m. Friday, August 10 to continue work to remove and replace the driving surface. Up to two eastbound lanes will be closed for safety during this work.

All westbound lanes, except for the right lane, will be open by 5:30 a.m. Monday, August 12.

The detour for the closure is to take westbound I-44 to Jefferson and back to westbound I-64. Drivers in downtown will be able to get onto westbound I-64 at Pine Street, Jefferson Avenue or the Market/Compton Interchange to access westbound I-64 from the city.

This is the fourth of seven westbound I-64 closures projected for this repair work.
