GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOX) – Just before 1 a.m. this morning, the Granite City Animal Control Headquarters was rocked when a car slammed into the building.
All the dogs and cats survived but the teen driver was air-lifted to a St. Louis hospital for his injuries. There’s no word yet on his condition.
Police say it appears the driver never touched his breaks before hitting the building. A rescue crew was called in to extricate the unidentified teen.
Police say they aren’t sure what caused the crash.
