Stages 27th season in Kirkwood will feature female themes about women who have made powerful choices in their lives, according to Jack Lane, the Executive Producer of Stages.
“These driven and intelligent women,” Lane says, “both fictional and real, beat the odds to carve out meaningful and vital lives.”
Stage’s 2013 season will begin May 31 with the show “Aways…Patsy Cline.” It s about the music and life of the late country & western singer, and her friendship with a Texas housewife, Louise Seger. The show will run through June 30th. Cline died in a light plane crash near Camden, Tennessee March 5, 1963. Cline was just 30-years-old.
“Legally Blonde” will be the second show of the 2013 season, running July 19th through August 18th. The musical is based on the movie of the same title from 2001.
One of the great classics of modern musical theater, Lerner & Loewe’s “My Fair Lady,” which was based on George Bernard Shaw’s play “Pygmalion,” will be performed at Stages September 6 through October 6.
Disney’s “Cinderella” will be presented by Stages June 19 through June 30 as part of their Theater For Young Audiences program.

George & Ira Gershwin’s “My One and Only” is currently running at Stages through October 7th as the final show of their 2012 season.
