GODFREY, Ill. (KMOX) -  An Edwardsville woman now faces charges of theft for allegedly taking hundreds of dollars worth of gift cards from the Walmart store where she worked.

52-year-old Linda Emshousen was arrested at the Godfrey Walmart store after loss prevention officers contacted police to report that she had stolen more than $900 worth of gift cards from the business.

The cards had been meant to be donated to charities throughout the Madison County community.

Bond for Emshousen was set at $10,000
