VERSAILLES, MO (KMOX) – An arrest has been made in the case of two cats who were shot with arrows in Morgan County last week.
The two-year-old cats, named Patches and Licorice, were shot in the neck on September 10 and continue to recover at the Human Society of Missouri Headquarters.
Abuse charges are expected against the unidentified suspect who is an adult and from the Versailles area, according to the Humane Society. He was arrested last night by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
Patches may lose a leg as a result of his injuries and Licorice has nerve damage which could be permanent, Humane Society officials say. Both are expected to be rehabilitated and adopted.
