MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOX) — Maryland Heights Police are looking for a man they say tried to get a young girl into his car.

It allegedly happened Thursday evening around 6 p.m.  Police are not releasing information on where the 7 year old girl was when she was approached, only to say she was playing in her driveway when he drove up in a light colored passenger car.

The girl immediately ran into her home and told her parents.  That’s when the suspect drove away.

The suspect is described as a light skinned African American male in his early 40s.

He was wearing glasses and had on a white t-shirt.
