ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Which “burb” is the best “burb” in America? A new listing ranks four St. Louis County communities in the top 100 nationwide.

Glendale, Ladue, Warson Woods and Clarkson Valley all make the top 100.

Cherry Hills Village, Colorado – a suburb of Denver – comes in at number one on this list compiled by Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

So what makes a great suburb? Coldwell Banker spokesperson Suzanne Mueller explains.

“The proximity to good schools, being able to commute by car, a high level of community safety combined with access to high-end suburban amenities, retails, grocery stores, banks.”

Glendale was the highest-rated suburb in Missouri, coming in at number 22 on the list. Next was Ladue at #28, Warson Woods at #71, and Clarkson Valley at #74.
