ST. LOUIS (KMOX) –  Firefighters are working a one-alarm blaze in north St. Louis this morning, at Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and N. Taylor Avenue.

Fire spokesman Captain Dan Sutter says the call came in at 6:40 am.

“So right now fire crews are taking a defensive position around the building,” Capt. Sutter tells KMOX News, “trying to confine the fire to that original building.”

The building is vacant, he adds.

No word on a cause, and no injuries reported.
