ST. LOUIS (KMOX) -  Police are investigating a daring daytime armed robbery Thursday in south St. Louis.

A report shows it happened just before 4 p.m. as a 65-year-old woman was walking from her car to her home in the 3800 block of Connecticut just south of Tower Grove Park.

Suddenly two men approached her from behind, both of them wearing dark clothing.

One pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the woman and ordered “Give me your purse!”.

When she woman started yelling for help the suspects began to run away, but the gunman turned and fired a shot at the woman.

She escaped injury and none of her property was taken.
