ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Energizer has announced it plans to lay off over 10% of its global workforce.
Its not known how the announcement might affect some 400 workers in the St. Louis area but a battery plant in Maryville, Missouri will be closed in December along with a plant in Vermont and a packing plant in Malaysia.
Energizer told the St. Louis Business Journal all cuts will be made by 2014.
