GRANITE CITY, Ill. (KMOX) – Four juveniles have been arrested in connection with the death of a man last week in Granite City, Illinois.
According to the Major Case Squad the teens were taken into custody late Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Formal charges are expect Tuesday, due to the Veteran’s Day Holiday.
Thursday evening, a wounded Charles A. Weiss was discovered in an alley in the 1200 block of Meridian. Granite City Police Major Jeff Connor said the 54-year-old was shot. And he reportedly told officers on the scene “they tried to rob me”. Weiss died the following morning.
Major Connor says the suspects are in custody and will likely be charged as adults.
