ST. LOUIS (AP) - Jordan Bishop threw for three touchdowns, one to twin brother Jarrod, to lead Kirkwood to a 31-7 win over Fort Osage in the Missouri Class 5 state championship game.

Kirkwood (13-0) claimed its first football crown Friday night in its third title-game appearance. Kirkwood lost to Staley 35-21 in the championship game last season.

Jordan Bishop hit on nine of 23 passes for 146 yards. His 7-yard pass to Jarrod Bishop gave the Pioneers a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. Jordan Bishop connected with Clyde Benson on a 73-yard scoring toss 5:42 into the contest.

Kirkwood broke a 10-game losing streak by St. Louis-area teams in state championship contests.

Fort Osage (12-2), located in the Kansas City suburb of Independence, had won its previous seven games by a combined 228-34.
