Two Home Invasions in St. Louis Within 24 Hours

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) — There’s been another home invasion in St. Louis, this one on the south side.

Police say three people were inside a home in the 3200 block of Mount Pleasant when two men stormed in shortly before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday.

No one was hurt, and it’s not known yet if anything was taken.

Last night a family of five was forced into the basement of their home in the 4500 block of San Francisco in north St. Louis by two gunmen.

In this case, the men kicked in the door of the home and forced a woman and her three children at gunpoint upstairs while they robbed the place.

When the woman’s fiance arrived, one of the robbers shot at him but missed. Then they forced the family into the basement.

The family escaped unharmed through a basement window and called police.

Officers arrived but were unsure if the robbers were still inside. About two hours later a special response team entered the home and found it was empty.

The robbers got away with a gaming system, games and possibly other items.

The suspects in both cases remain at large.
