St. Charles, MO (KMOX)–A St. Charles man is being held on a half-million dollars bond, charged with the rape of an O’Fallon woman Wednesday.  Police were asked to check on the well-being of a woman at an apartment on Southernside Lane and when they arrived, the found the victim bound and gagged, and the suspect escaping out a
sliding glass door and jumping from a second floor balcony.  21 year old James
M. Helderle was found a short time later and taken into custoy.  He’s facing
several charges including Forcible Sodomy, Deviate Sexual Intercourse by
Forcible Compulsion, and Felonious Restraint.
