ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) – A local Episcopal leader praises action just taken by the Washington National Cathedral in DC to perform same sex marriage ceremonies.

Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in downtown St. Louis, the Very Reverend Mike Kinman, says he’s thrilled to see the Washington National Cathedral now blessing same sex unions — something they’ve been doing here for some time now.

“We believe that what Jesus continually talked about is loving relationships that honor God best. And we see those in heterosexual relationships, we see those in same sex relationships,” said Rev. Kinman.

Christ Church Cathedral holds same sex blessing ceremonies, not full fledged same sex weddings, which are still not legal in Missouri.
