Three Deaths Investigated in East St. Louis

Illinois State Police say the discovery of a body, Friday, in Frank Holten State Park is prompting a homicide investigation. They say 32-year-old Byron Perkins of Washington Park had signs of trauma on his body. They are asking for the public’s help in finding Perkins’ killer. The Crimestoppers hotline is 1-866-371-TIPS.

EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Three bodies were found in East St. Louis in a span of just over 24 hours.
Twenty-one-year-old George Anderson Schooler of O’Fallon, Ill. was shot multiple times around 12:30 Saturday afternoon in front of a home in the 1400 block of North 44th Street. He was taken to the hospital where he later died. Police have no suspects or motives.
Police have not released the name of a man shot to death, Friday night, in East St. Louis. The victim was attending a barbecue at a home in the 500 block of North 13th Street when he was shot.
No cause of death has been released after a body was found, Friday morning, in Frank Holten State Park at East St. Louis. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Byron Perkins of Washington Park.
