ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis police have arrested a man accused of holding up the Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union just before Christmas.
38-year-old Matthew Pickett is accused of walking into the AB Credit Union at 1001 Lynch Street on the afternoon of December 21st and placing a manila envelope on the counter in front of a teller.
The manila envelope had a bulge in it and note on top indicated there was a gun inside.
The note demanded that the teller give the suspect all of the money, “except for the bait money”.
After the robber fled with $5,550 in cash, officers were called to the scene and found a manila envelope outside the credit union with a BB gun inside.
Upon his arrest Pickett reportedly confessed to the hold-up.
