ST. LOUIS (KMOX)- A St. Louis County woman is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter after her 18 month old child died from a lethal dose of morphine.

22 year old Prenise Payne of the 12000 block of Rosemist in St. Louis is being held on $150,000 cash only bond.

St. Louis County Police were called to the home back on December 2nd to investigate what was only described then as a sudden death.

Now the St. Louis County Medical Examiner has completed toxicology tests and has concluded the toddler died after ingesting morphine.
